Did you have a Blue Moon Flying Swan experience? As a small family-owned business wanting to provide great food at reasonable prices, we depend on word of mouth and repeat business, rather than high profit margins. We deeply appreciate your feedback.

If there’s a particular dish that you had that you would recommend, I’m sure that others would be interested to hear about it. What did you like? The food, the service, the prices, the decor? If you’re a repeat customer, if you like, please share how long you’ve been eating at our cafe.

  1. Wow! No kidding about the delicious food and the great prices! And the place is very cozy.

You’re right – I’m glad I didn’t let the quiet interior deter me during the weekdays. Lucky for me that I overcame my “How come this place isn’t packed with people?” conditioning and actually opened the door, and sat down to experience the food and the service. It paid off to try a new unknown place that looked empty. No wonder you folks how been around for 48 years!

Too bad that your location is east of Burrard Street and lost in the middle of the block, sandwiched between a large printing shop and a kitchenware retail store. More people would benefit from knowing about you!

I had the clubhouse and really enjoyed it. The organic coffee was very nice also – one of the best I’ve tasted.

Don’t let the empty interior fool you, I would definitely recommend the Blue Moon / Flying Swan and look forward to my next great meal there!

  2. I LOVE Blue Moon/Flying Swan! It is so cozy, with wonderful customer service that makes you feel like you are eating a meal at home with family…and the food is delicious. I highly recommend the tofu scramble if you are going there for breakfast. It’s a great alternative to eggs, although I have to say you can’t go wrong with the breakfast special. The panfries are seasoned very well.

I am very much looking forward to trying one of your rice bowls the next time I’m in town. Thank you for the excellent service and memorable food experience. 🙂

  3. Always great breakfasts, but try the incredible wok combos.
My favorite is the sweet n sour chicken bowl. mmmmmmmm.
My coworkers and I have been coming here over the past few years and I can say the quality is always right on.

  4. My friend and I stumbled into the Blue Swan this morning and loved our experience. We had the veggie scramble and waffles. The waffle was freshly made and delicious. The scramble was generous and was amazing. Thank you! And thank you for sharing your story. I will bring my family.

  5. By chance, we wandered into the Blue Moon Flying Swan en route to the movies next door. What a great find! I love places with history, good food and support of great causes. I’m not from Vancouver, but I will tell people about this place and I will be back too!

The crispy pan fried potatoes that accompanied by Farmer’s omelette where the BEST I HAVE EVER HAD in my life.

Great personable service too. This place is a wonderful diner. Thank you.

  6. Amazing food, great prices, what more can you ask for in an amazing gem in Kits. I definitely recommend this place to anyone and everyone looking for some amazing home cooking.

  7. Was having a nostalgic moment tonight, thinking back to the times I used to go to this restaurant many years ago. I’m glad to see it’s still around, and that people continue to enjoy the food.
